Honouring Courage Without Commercialising It

In a city shaped by 26/11, courage is not an abstract idea. It lives quietly in the police force that protects Mumbai every day.

Canvas of Courage was conceived as a participative tribute to those sacrifices. Not as a campaign of symbols or statements, but as a shared act of gratitude expressed through art, involvement, and time.

The intention was simple. Let the city come together, honour its protectors, and allow remembrance to feel sincere, human, and owned by the people.

What We Did

We conceived and led Canvas of Courage as a participative tribute, not a campaign. Over 15 days, we brought together artists, schools, police families and citizens to express gratitude through art. From time-lapse paintings and public projections to on-ground activations and a city-wide launch, courage was honoured through action, not messaging.

Outcomes

Canvas of Courage became a city movement. The artworks travelled from public spaces to police homes, creating real moments of connection and respect. The initiative earned widespread media coverage, strong public participation and emotional resonance. Years later, it remains remembered as a sincere tribute that Mumbai truly felt and owned.
